A group of girls in a sorority house play a prank on their unpopular house mother and accidentally kill her, but then the girls are killed off one by one by someone or something in the house as they try and hide the body. This is one of the better slasher type horror films of the early 1980's even though it does many of the clichés and tropes of that genre.
